Srinagar, June 19: The government has said it is committed to the early resumption of Gondola services in Gulmarg, addressing recent claims circulating on social media regarding the status of the service.
Officials stated that following the incident on May 25, 2026, all necessary measures are being taken in coordination with concerned agencies to ensure safe restoration of operations.
Authorities emphasized that the safety and security of tourists remain the top priority, and services will resume only after all required safeguards and safety protocols are put in place.
The government further clarified that restoration work is being actively pursued and assured that updates regarding reopening will be issued in due course
