Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Wednesday conducted a sensitization workshop under J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 for the officials of various Government departments of district Srinagar.
The workshop, held at JKEDI District Centre, Srinagar saw participation of the officers and officials of various departments including Social Welfare Department, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Horticulture Department, Agriculture Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Sheep Husbandry Department, Fisheries Department, District Industries Centre (DIC), Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Srinagar among others.
The workshop was aimed at enhancing government officials’ understanding of the J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 including the benefits under Startup JK and Startup India schemes. The officials were also sensitized on procurement of products and services from startups and organizing hackathons cum challenges to solve problems faced by the departments by seeking solutions from the startups.
The event featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions led by officials of JKEDI. The discussions focused on key aspects of the startup ecosystem including funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks and the role of government in fostering a supportive environment for startups. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Ahsan Qadir, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI and Ms. Syed Miftah Zahoor, Manager CSF.
