
Baramulla, July 2: The Kashmir ENT Conclave 2026, a two-day national academic conference organised by the Postgraduate Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla, in association with the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI), Kashmir Chapter, concluded successfully today after two days of scientific deliberations, live surgical demonstrations and academic interactions.
The conference witnessed participation of ENT specialists, academicians and postgraduate trainees from across the country, along with senior otorhinolaryngologists from across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Faculty members and delegates from all Government Medical Colleges of J&K actively participated, making the event one of the largest academic gatherings in the specialty in the region.
A major highlight of the conclave was the live surgical workshop, featuring advanced ear, nose, head & neck, laryngeal and sleep surgery procedures. The scientific programme included guest lectures by eminent national and UT faculty, panel discussions, consultant paper presentations, PG award papers and e-poster presentations.
The conference was privileged to host distinguished invited faculty including Prof. Rauf Ahmad, Dr. Ravi Ramalingam, Prof. Sandeep Bansal, Dr. Sanjay khanna, Prof. Rafiq Ahmad pampori and Prof. Mohammad Lateef chesti ,besides several renowned ENT specialists from Jammu & Kashmir.
Prof. Dr Majid Jahangir, Principal, GMC Baramulla, congratulated the organising committee for successfully conducting a conference of national standards. Prof. Dr Shafkat Ahmad Lone, Organising Chairman, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of faculty and delegates, while Dr. Zafarullah Beigh, Organising Secretary, thanked all invited faculty, delegates, AOI Kashmir Chapter, organising committee members, volunteers and participants for making the conference a grand success.
The Organising Committee also acknowledged the invaluable support of the Medical superintendent Dr Parvaiz Masoodi,Department of Anaesthesiology,IT Section, Media Section whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the conference.
The conference was accredited by the Jammu & Kashmir Medical Council, which awarded 8 CME credit hours to all registered participants.
The organisers expressed confidence that the knowledge shared and collaborations established during Kashmir ENT Conclave 2026 will further strengthen ENT education, research and patient care across Jammu & Kashmir.
