February 02, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Srinagar, Feb 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Monday declared the Higher Secondary Part One Class 11th Annual 2025 Regular Examination results, revealing a notable performance gap between Winter Zone Kashmir and Winter Zone Jammu. Kashmir Province recorded a higher overall pass percentage of 89%, compared to 81% in Jammu, an eight-point difference.

In Kashmir, 60,003 students appeared for the exam, with 53,670 qualifying successfully. Jammu, by contrast, had 17,570 candidates, of whom 14,622 passed. Distinction figures also favored Kashmir, with 12,859 students securing top marks, while Jammu recorded 5,107 distinctions. Similarly, first-division passes numbered 18,206 in Kashmir against 7,188 in Jammu.

Jammu saw a higher number of second-division students at 1,947, compared to 902 in Kashmir. Third-division counts stood at 320 in Jammu and 430 in Kashmir. Failures were slightly higher in Jammu at 178, while Kashmir reported 156, and absentee numbers were 15 in Kashmir and seven in Jammu. Both zones reported two cancelled exams each.

Officials noted that subject-wise performance across Arts, Science, and Commerce streams remained satisfactory in both zones, with vocational and elective courses showing consistently high pass percentages. The larger candidate base and stronger distinction rates in Kashmir contributed to its overall edge.

The combined Jammu and Kashmir results showed an overall pass percentage of 83%, with 19,321 students qualifying out of 24,040 enrolled. The Winter Zone exams were held during the October–November session and results were officially published today.

This refined version keeps the key statistics clear, improves readability, and removes repetitive phrasing while preserving all essential details.
