Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare, Sarmad Hafeez, today inaugurated Exhibition-cum-Sale organized by J&K Women's Development Corporation and sponsored by National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC), Ministry for Minorities Affairs, at Kala Kendra, here.

Around 80 beneficiaries/SHGs are participating in the event.

The Commissioner Secretary inspected stalls and interacted with the exhibitors. He appreciated the efforts of the management for bringing out the exhibitors from almost all districts of the UT. This will provide them a market platform to exhibit and sale their products besides enthusing a healthy competition among the women to develop products for better market.

Various handicraft products handmade cushions, Suits, Kashmiri Shawls, Bed Sheets, Paper Machine, Crewel Embroidery Items, Sozni Embroidery Items, Jute Accessories, and Dry Fruits are being displayed in the exhibition stalls.

Managing Director, Women's Development Corporation, Managing Director, SC/ST/OBC Development Corporation and other officers of the department were present in the occasion.
