Srinagar, Sep 27: On World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah invited visitors from across India and abroad to explore Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting its natural beauty, cultural heritage and diverse tourism opportunities.

In his message, Omar said the region offers a wide range of experiences, from snow-covered mountains and scenic lakes to green valleys and pilgrimage destinations. He also highlighted opportunities in adventure tourism, leisure travel, MICE tourism, destination weddings, trekking and film production.

The Chief Minister said the government is working to improve tourism infrastructure and build an environment that supports the sustainable expansion of the sector.

He stressed the need to promote responsible and sustainable eco-tourism while ensuring that local communities and youth benefit from the growth of tourism and hospitality.

Omar also underlined the importance of protecting J&K’s cultural traditions and natural heritage while expanding tourism opportunities across the region.

Inviting tourists to visit Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister said visitors can experience the region’s hospitality and explore its diverse destinations.
