In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Watergam headed by IC PP Watergam under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Aabid Rashid Mir-JKPS and SHO PS Dangiwacha during patrolling at Yedipora Lorihama arrested one notorious drug peddler namely Bilal Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Rashid Lone resident of Lorihama Rafiabad. During search, Police Party was able to recover 80 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus from his possession.
In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha & investigation has been initiated.
Police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112. General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
