Ganderbal, August 3: Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police and Assam Rifles carried out a joint area domination patrol along the Baltal route on Monday, one of the main tracks leading to the Amarnath cave shrine, officials said.

According to officials, the coordinated patrol was part of the routine security measures in place during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. Personnel from all three forces conducted surveillance and patrolling across designated areas to strengthen security and maintain vigilance.

The Baltal route continues to remain under enhanced security throughout the annual pilgrimage, with multiple security agencies deployed to ensure the safe movement of pilgrims and monitor the entire stretch.

Officials said the joint patrol was conducted as part of the multi layered security arrangements in place across both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes during the ongoing pilgrimage.
