Srinagar, August 12: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir on Wednesday conducted searches at nine locations across Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a double-murder case dating back to 1990.

The searches were carried out in connection with FIR No. 45/1990 registered at Police Station Dooru in Anantnag district. The case pertains to the killing of two individuals in the Dooru area in 1990 and is currently under investigation by the SIA.

Officials said search teams visited the premises of suspects and other locations believed to be connected with the case. The operation was aimed at gathering documents, evidence and other material that could assist investigators in identifying the accused and establishing the sequence of events surrounding the killings.

The SIA has been revisiting several cases linked to militancy-related incidents from the 1990s as part of efforts to advance investigations and bring long-pending cases to a conclusion.
