Srinagar, July 23 : In view of heavy passenger rush due to slow movement of traffic on National Highway, authorities have announced a special train for stranded passengers in the Kashmir Valley. The train will run on July 23 and July 24.

Outward Journey - 23.07.2026
The train will depart from Srinagar (SINA) at 17:00 hrs and reach Banihal (BAHL) at 18:20 hrs.
It will arrive at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) at 20:15 hrs.
Departure from Banihal is scheduled at 18:30 hrs.
Return Journey - 24.07.2026
The train will depart from SVDK at 08:45 hrs, reach Banihal at 10:40 hrs, and arrive at Srinagar at 11:50 hrs.
Departure from Banihal is scheduled at 10:50 hrs.
Railway officials said the special train will run non-stop between Banihal and SVDK in both directions.
Passengers stranded in the Valley and willing to travel to Katra have been advised to reach Banihal Railway Station by 5:30 PM today and by 10:40 AM tomorrow. They have been requested to reach the station on time and cooperate with railway authorities.
