Kiphire, Sep 23: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, concluded the Saramati Adventure Expedition in Kiphire district of Nagaland, with the expedition team unfurling the National Flag atop Mt Saramati, the state’s highest peak.
The expedition was conducted as part of the “Har Shikhar Par Tiranga” mission, highlighting the spirit of adventure, endurance and national pride.
The team, accompanied by renowned mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth, reached the summit of Mt Saramati, located at an altitude of approximately 3,841 metres, and unfurled the Tricolour at the summit.
The expedition involved navigating challenging mountainous terrain and demanding weather conditions, requiring physical endurance, determination and teamwork from the participants.
The summit of Mt Saramati provided a fitting setting for the initiative, which sought to combine adventure with a message of national unity and pride. The unfurling of the Tricolour at the peak also symbolised the expedition’s emphasis on courage, perseverance and collective endeavour.
The participation of experienced mountaineer Bhukya Yashwanth added further significance to the expedition, providing the team with specialised mountaineering experience during the challenging ascent.
