Udhampur, Aug 20: Police arrested two alleged drug peddlers and recovered 5.22 grams of heroin from their possession during checking at Phalata Naka in Udhampur district.
The arrested persons have been identified as Akash Kumar and Ajay Singh.
According to police, the duo was intercepted at Phalata Naka during checking, following which the suspected contraband was recovered from their possession.
Police have registered FIR No. 206/2026 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rehambal.
Further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any other links associated with the case.
