Vande Mataram Week CUKashmir VC inaugurates exhibition

 In connection with the ongoing celebration of Vande Mataram Week, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath inaugurated an exhibition featuring a Poster Competition, Sketch Competition, and On-Spot Painting Competition at Tulmulla campus here on Tuesday.

Vice-Chancellors of universities from other parts of the country, visiting Professors, Dean Academic Affairs, Deans of Schools, Registrar, Heads and Coordinators of Departments, Dean DSW, faculty members, Special Phase Campaign Nodal Officer, Youth Welfare Officers, senior functionaries of the university, administrative staff, scholars and students were present during the event organised to mark the 150th year of the National Song and paying tributes to the sacrifices of freedom fighters.  

Addressing the participants, Prof. A Ravinder Nath described Kashmir as a seat of learning and knowledge. He urged students to evolve from knowledge seekers into knowledge creators, emphasizing the transformative role of education in shaping the society and overall development of the nation. Highlighting India’s demographic dividend, he said the youth hold immense potential in nation-building and can significantly contribute towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ji. He appreciated the Government of India for organizing Vande Mataram Week, stating that such initiatives play a crucial role in instilling patriotism and a sense of nationalism among the youth. He called upon students to actively participate in all the activities being organized under the aegis of the Dean Students Welfare (DSW) to nurture creativity and civic consciousness.

On the occasion, a documentary on the National Song Vande Mataram was screened, followed by a mass singing of the song.
