
Tral, Jan 17: At least four civilians were injured on Saturday after a wild animal, suspected to be a wild boar, went on a rampage in the busy Tral market area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.
The sudden appearance of the animal in the crowded marketplace triggered panic among locals as it attacked pedestrians at random. Officials confirmed that four people sustained injuries in the incident.
All the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition was reported to be stable.
Authorities said the situation was swiftly brought under control with the timely intervention of concerned teams. Meanwhile, locals have been advised to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary movement in the area until complete safety is ensured.
