Pulwama, Oct 19: A 70-year-old woman was allegedly killed inside her residence in Parigam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jani Begum, wife of Amin Bhat, a resident of Parigam.
According to local residents, an unidentified assailant allegedly entered her house during Fajr prayers and attacked her with a knife, slitting her throat. She reportedly died on the spot.
Police reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident. Further details are awaited.
