Admission to PG progs in CUKashmir to begin shortly

Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) will shortly begin admissions to its various postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2026–27, inviting candidates who have appeared in CUET-PG-2026 to register for admissions once the registration process formally begins.

According to the Directorate of Admissions, the University will offer admissions to a wide range of postgraduate programmes including M.A. English, M.A. Urdu, M.Com, M.A. Mass Communication and Journalism, M.A. Economics, M.A. Political Science, M.A. Kashmiri, LLM, M.Ed., Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Sc. Botany, M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Zoology (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Biotechnology (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Physics (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Mathematics (Lateral Entry), MBA, MBA (Travel and Tourism Management), M.A. Philosophy with specialization in Islamic Studies and Religious Studies, M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and M.Tech. in Structural Engineering.

The admissions to these programmes shall be purely based on merit secured in CUET-PG-2026. Candidates seeking admission have been advised to exercise the same options during registration as reflected by them in the National Testing Agency’s CUET-PG-2026 application form.

For admission to MBA and MBA (Travel and Tourism Management) programmes, preference shall initially be given to candidates who have appeared in or qualified the CMAT-2026 examination. In case seats remain vacant, candidates who have appeared in CUET-PG-2026 in the relevant subject or paper code shall be considered strictly on the basis of CUET score and merit.

Similarly, for admission to the M.Tech. programmes, preference shall first be accorded to candidates coming through CCMT-2026 based on their GATE score. Remaining vacant seats, if any, will subsequently be filled through CUET-PG-2026 merit in the relevant subject or paper code.

The Directorate of Admissions has urged the aspiring students to regularly visit the official website www.cukashmir.ac.in for detailed notifications, schedule of registration, eligibility criteria, and other admission-related guidelines, which will

be notified shortly on the University website.
