Aalo, July 31: Reinforcing its commitment to humanitarian service and civil-military cooperation, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Blood Centre of the Zonal General Hospital, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Aalo in Arunachal Pradesh.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army personnel, who came forward to donate blood with a strong sense of duty and social responsibility. The initiative aimed to strengthen emergency healthcare preparedness by ensuring the availability of safe blood for patients requiring urgent transfusions.
Officials said the donated blood would help meet the requirements of the district hospital and provide timely support during medical emergencies, surgeries and other critical situations.
Medical teams from the Blood Centre conducted donor screening, health assessments and blood collection in accordance with established safety protocols. Donors were also briefed on the importance of voluntary blood donation and its role in saving lives.
The Army said the initiative reflected its enduring commitment to the values of selfless service, compassion and community welfare. It also highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the armed forces and civil healthcare institutions in strengthening public health infrastructure.
The voluntary blood donation camp is part of the Indian Army's ongoing outreach programmes aimed at supporting local communities through humanitarian initiatives, disaster response and health awareness activities.
