Aizawl, Sep 1: Strengthening coordination between security forces, government authorities and civil agencies, the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised a Military-Civil Fusion Conference at Zokhawsang in Mizoram, bringing key stakeholders together to deliberate on issues linked to security, infrastructure and development.

The conference provided a common platform for senior military and government leadership, along with representatives of various civil agencies, to discuss challenges and identify areas where closer coordination could accelerate development while strengthening the security environment.
A major focus of the deliberations was infrastructure and road connectivity, particularly the need for efficient and reliable connectivity to support economic activity, improve access to essential services and strengthen the reach of development initiatives in remote areas.
Participants also discussed measures to intensify the fight against narcotics trafficking, which remains a serious challenge for border regions. Greater coordination among security forces, law-enforcement agencies and civil authorities was emphasised to strengthen prevention, detection and action against drug networks.
