Srinagar, Sep 22: Peoples Democratic Party MLA Waheed Para on Tuesday said people have high expectations from their elected representatives and expressed his commitment to raising issues concerning the public during the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session.

Speaking to Brighter Kashmir on the second day of the Assembly session, Para said there are significant aspirations among the people and that legislators must work towards addressing their concerns.

“People have great aspirations from us, and we will try to resolve the issues faced by the people,” Para said.

He said employment remains among the key concerns being raised by the public, while also highlighting the issue of open merit in recruitment.

Para said matters related to employment and recruitment need attention and indicated that such public concerns would continue to be raised during the Assembly proceedings.

The MLA's remarks came as the Assembly session continues to witness discussions on issues concerning youth, employment, recruitment and other matters affecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
