Haflong, July 31: In a significant initiative to promote national integration, cultural awareness and youth empowerment, the Assam Rifles organised a four-day Student Exchange Programme for students of Assam Rifles Public School, Udaipur, Tripura, in Dima Hasao district of Assam from July 27 to 30.

The programme provided students with an enriching opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty and administrative framework of the region. During their visit, the participants toured prominent landmarks, including the picturesque Haflong Lake, the historic Maibang, the Circuit House and the Office of the District Commissioner, gaining valuable insights into the district's history, governance and developmental initiatives.
As part of the educational itinerary, the students attended an interactive career counselling session and a motivational lecture designed to inspire them to pursue their aspirations with confidence and determination. They were also introduced to the operational capabilities of the Assam Rifles through a weapon and equipment display, which highlighted the force's professionalism, discipline and commitment to national security.
The exchange programme aimed to broaden the students' horizons by fostering cross-cultural understanding, encouraging interaction with diverse communities and strengthening the spirit of national unity. Participants also gained first-hand exposure to the pivotal role played by the Assam Rifles in ensuring peace, security and socio-economic development in the Northeast.
