The Centre of Excellence for Temperate Fruits Zawoora, Srinagar today hosted a significant training and awareness programme for nursery growers across the Kashmir division.
Organized by the Nursery Registration Office (NRO) Kashmir, this initiative aimed to introduce the latest advancements in designer plant cultivation under the Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP), empowering growers with cutting-edge knowledge and practices.
The programme attracted a large gathering of nursery growers from across the Kashmir Valley, where they received hands-on training and insights into innovative techniques for cultivating temperate fruit plants.
A highlight of the event was the distribution of Nursery Registration Cards to registered growers by NRO Kashmir, a crucial step in formalizing and recognizing the growers’ contributions to Kashmir’s horticulture sector.
Dr. Wasim from the Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), along with the District Horticulture Officer (DHO) Srinagar and other senior department officers, engaged directly with the nursery growers. These experts provided practical guidance, answered questions, and offered valuable advice on maximizing production efficiency and quality through the adoption of modern practices.
