CM Assam Biswa’s receives overwhelming applause from Balochistan

April 28, 2025 | BK News Service

The burning issue of Balochistan is being discussed across India. The media, the civil society, the think tanks, businessmen and now the government level discussion has started. The CM of Assam his excellency Himanta Biswa Sarma received overwhelming applauds and appreciations from the patriotic and pro-independence seeking people of PoB (Pakistan Occupied Balochistan) over his yesterday’s statement elaborating the history of Balochistan and Pakistan’s illegal occupation of it. Mr. Himanta Biswa on X (formerly twitter) wrote that “The Balochistan freedom movement traces its roots to the tumultuous events of 1947–1948, when the princely state of Kalat, representing much of what is today Balochistan, sought to maintain its sovereignty after the end of British colonial rule. Despite initial negotiations for autonomy, the region was forcibly annexed by Pakistan in March 1948, sowing deep resentment among the Baloch people. Over the decades, feelings of political disenfranchisement, economic marginalization, and cultural suppression have fueled repeated uprisings, most notably in 1958, 1962, 1973, and the early 2000s. The Baloch people, despite inhabiting a province rich in natural resources, have long struggled with underdevelopment and allegations of systematic exploitation by the central government. The killing of respected tribal leader Nawab Akbar Bugti in 2006 marked a particularly painful chapter, reigniting demands for self-determination and justice. Today, the Balochistan movement stands as a symbol of an indigenous people’s enduring aspiration for dignity, rights, and control over their own destiny — a struggle marked by immense sacrifice, resilience, and an unbroken spirit for freedom.”
Baloch activist and advocate Sadiq Raisani wrote “#Baloch nation does not recognize the Goldsmith Line or the Durand Line. The British divided the Baloch nation into these two temporary lines, but the Baloch are once again defending their homeland Balochistan for the united Balochistan of the era of Nuri Naseer Khan. #Pakistan and #Iran are responsible for the Baloch genocide.”
Another Baloch human rights defender wrote that “Thank you Honorable #CMAssam @himantabiswa ji for acknowledging the significance of Balochistan and we believe it is time that GOI to come forward to support #FreeUnitedBalochistan to win to end the Pakistan'song term undeclared war.”
A Baloch think tank United Balochistan Foundation thanked the CM of Assam and wrote “Brilliant, visionary statement. #BharatBalochistanFriendship Balochistan existed when there was no Papistan on the map of the glob. Time for two nations (Bharat and Balochistan) to join hands and tell the world that Pakistan is useless and has no importance in this region.”
Baloch representative Mir Baloch writes that “The patriotic people of Balochistan endorse your timely statement. The world community now must come forward to recognize the independence of #Balochistan to make the radical state of Pakistan irrelevant. We request Indian politicians and lawmakers to pass a resolution in both the houses #LokSabha and #RajyaSabha in support of an independent #Balochistan and ask #PakistanVacateBalochistan.”
Giving some suggestions one of Baloch writer said that “A positive step. Some suggestions: Make Balochistan part of India's foreign policy. Table a resolution in support of independent Balochistan. Allow Balochistan embassy in India. Call round table meeting with pro inependence seeking leadership headed by PM and @hyrbyair_marri”
A Bhartya activist Anita Kamali writes “Baloch stands exactly where their homeland is. The noose has been around our necks; our children stateless, genocide, plunder our resources; yet this resistance has been passed down from generation to generation. We will not abandon this resistance until we reclaim our land.”
Another activist from PoB writes “True sir, Balochistan and Bharat had centuries old relations prior to creation of the the cancerous state of Pakistan. It is time to recognize the liberation of Balochistan which will help the region in poverty alleviation, education and will contribute to a prosperous world.”
Another Baloch handle @BalochNarrative writes “Well done dear #CM #Assam, This is the need of the hour to enable support for #FreeBalochistanMovement and give the world peace a gift by liberating Balochistan from Pakistan's illegal occupation.”
Another citizen of India with X handle @naannomad writes “Finally, an Indian leader openly supports the Balochistan freedom struggle! Their decades-long fight against oppression must be amplified, and the mainstream media should feature it on the front page. Does Pakistan dare to hold a plebiscite in Balochistan, as it demands for Kashmir? Free Maharang Baloch !!.”
