
Budgam, July 24: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited Lalpora village in Beerwah, Budgam, to offer condolences to the family of Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable Ashiq Hussain, who was killed in a militant attack in Anantnag earlier this week.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor met the bereaved family and expressed deep sympathy over their loss. He assured them that the administration stands firmly with them during this difficult time.
Paying tribute to the slain policeman, Sinha lauded Ashiq Hussain's dedication, courage, and service to the nation. He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the grieving family.
Head Constable Ashiq Hussain was shot dead by suspected militants in the Lal Chowk area of Anantnag on Wednesday while on duty. The incident prompted security forces to intensify security measures across the Kashmir Valley.
