Department of Religious Studies, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organized an extension lecture on "Fundamental Principles of Research in Islamic Studies" delivered by Prof. Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Professor of Islamic Studies and Principal Arts and Science College for Women MANUU Satellite Campus, Srinagar.
The lecture focused on enhancing the quality of research in Social Sciences and discussed the basic principles of research in Islamic Studies, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct in scholarly works.
Prof. Ghazanfar underscored that Islamic Studies stands out as a unique academic discipline, and as such, researchers in the field must be committed to rigorous research practices.
Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zargar, Academic Coordinator, welcomed Prof. Ghazanfar. In his address, Dr. M. Zafar, Coordinator of the Department, explored the interplay between revelation and the methodologies of social sciences. He also highlighted the relevance of the National Education Policy in shaping the future of religious studies.
Dr. Shawkat Ahmad Shah, faculty member conducted the event proceedings and Mr. Muhammad Ahmad Raza, Assistant Prof. proposed the vote of thanks.
