
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the status of ongoing development works across various sectors, including CAPEX, MPLADs, Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Heritage, Tribal Affairs, Revenue Capex, and the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY).
During the meeting, DC took sector wise review of all the developmental works taken up for the current fiscal. He also assessed the progress made in the execution of works for various components under the District Capex Budget and other sectors for the current financial year.
Emphasizing the importance of timely action, DC urged all departments to expedite the tendering of pending works and ensure its timely allotment to avoid delays, besides timely completion of projects.
He stated that prompt execution is vital for delivering tangible benefits to the public and improving infrastructure and basic amenities across the district.
On the occasion, DC directed line departments to accelerate the pace of work on all ongoing projects to ensure their timely completion. He directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to adopt a proactive approach, maintain inter-departmental coordination and ensure quality and transparency in the execution of all development works.
DC further emphasized to ensure early completion of under-construction buildings for Revenue offices across the district. He called upon all Engineering and Planning divisions to work in coordinated manner to meet public aspirations by achieving 100% execution targets in a time-bound manner.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar; Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, SMC, PDD, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Mineral Officer and other concerned Officers.
