
The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with Amar Singh College Srinagar, organised a grand Cultural Festival titled “Symphonies of Peace” under the banner of Seva Parv and as part of the Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations 2025.
The event was hosted at Amar Singh College Srinagar and brought together eminent dignitaries, cultural personalities, faculty and students to celebrate the ideals of peace, harmony and cultural diversity in line with the spirit of Seva Parv.
Among the distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. (Dr.) Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, Principal Amar Singh College Srinagar, Syed Humayun Kaiser, Senior Broadcaster and Former Director AIR Srinagar, Dr. Ahsan-Ul-Haq Chishti, Joint Director Information PR Kashmir DIPR J&K, Burhan Hussain, Cultural Officer Kashmir DIPR J&K, and Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan, noted Actor and Filmmaker from J&K.
The festival featured a vibrant blend of cultural performances including music, theatre and traditional Kashmiri art forms which captivated the audience and showcased the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. Among the art forms, Kashmiri Rauf, Punjabi Tappe, Martial art forms Gatka, documentaries on Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir, Qawalis and skits were performed much to the delight of the audiences.
The joint initiative of DIPR J&K and Amar Singh College in organising the event was appreciated by the participants and it underlined the significance of such cultural platforms in promoting peace, brotherhood and cultural vibrancy, spirit of sewa- service among others.
Notably, the event is a part of the broader Sewa Parv being organised from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.
