Jammu, Sep 23: The 17-year-old son of Hiranagar MLA Vijay Kumar, who was reported missing from Kathua district, has been traced in Delhi, officials said on Wednesday.
The teenager was located early in the morning while traveling on a bus heading towards Delhi, following a search operation launched by police after his family reported him missing on Tuesday.
Police teams examined CCTV footage and checked various transport points while following leads about his movements.
Officials said the teenager had traveled towards Delhi without informing his family. After establishing contact with him, police confirmed his location and traced him.
He is now being brought back to Jammu, officials said.
Police had launched searches across the Kathua-Jammu region after receiving information about the teenager’s movements from Hiranagar.
