Kupwara, July 17: The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kupwara, has suspended a Panchayat Secretary pending an inquiry into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).

As per an official order, Danish Hanif Lone, Panchayat Secretary of Magam-C, has been placed under suspension with immediate effect and attached to the office of the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Kupwara, until the inquiry is completed.

The action follows allegations of discrepancies in the implementation of the PMAY-G scheme.

A two-member committee headed by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Kupwara, has been constituted to investigate the matter. The panel includes the Block Development Officer, Headquarters Kupwara, and Abdul Rashid Kumar, Junior Assistant in the office of the Assistant Commissioner Development, Kupwara.

The inquiry committee has been directed to conduct a detailed investigation and submit its report within 15 days.
