Rajouri, July 22: Vehicular movement on the Thanamandi, Rajouri road came to a halt on Wednesday after a landslide blocked the road near Fatehpur, leaving several commuters stranded on both sides.

The landslide occurred amid persistent rainfall in the region, sending mud, rocks, and debris onto the road and making the stretch unsafe for traffic.

Officials said assessment of the affected area is underway, while road restoration teams are expected to begin clearance work with men and machinery once weather conditions improve.

Authorities have advised commuters to avoid the route until the debris is cleared and the road is declared safe for travel.
