Security Agencies Hold Joint Mock Drill Along Amarnath Yatra Route in Sonamarg

Ganderbal, August 5: Security forces and emergency response agencies on Wednesday conducted a joint mock drill at Nilgrath in Sonamarg to assess preparedness and coordination along the Shri Amarnath Yatra route.

The exercise, led by Ganderbal Police in collaboration with various security and emergency agencies, simulated emergency situations to evaluate the readiness of personnel in responding to potential security threats and disaster related incidents during the annual pilgrimage.

Officials said the drill was aimed at enhancing inter agency coordination, improving response time and testing the effectiveness of contingency plans prepared to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the ongoing yatra.

The mock exercise was part of ongoing preparedness measures to further strengthen security and disaster management arrangements along the pilgrimage route.
