In connection with Nationwide Campaign ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ as a part of Good Governance Week-2024, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex to gear up the line Departments for successful conduct of programmes under the initiative.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Syed Ahmad Kataria, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Joint Director Employment, Zeenat Ara, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Abaas, Chief Agriculture Officer, Manohar Lal Sharma, Lead District Manager, Neelofer Jan, Block Development Officers of Harwan, Khonmoh, Srinagar & Qamarwari, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, the meeting was attended by the Officers of R&B, KPDCL, PHE, Health, Education, NRLM and other Departments.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the objectives of the Nationwide Campaign ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ scheduled to be held from December 19 to 24, 2024. He said that the initiative is aimed to bring Administration at the doorsteps of the rural population and address their grievances in a time bound and qualitative manner. He added that the purpose of the campaign is to reinforce the principles of good governance and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Officers to hold mass awareness camps in all Panchayat Blocks of the District and provided Government services directly at their doorstep. He directed the Departments of Labour, Employment, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, FCS&CA, Health, Social Welfare, ICDS, Rural Development, R&B, KPDCL, PHE, Health, Education, NRLM, Revenue, Forest Cooperatives and other line Departments to reach out to the people by conducting joint programmes during the Good Governance Week-2024.
The DC also asked the Officers to ensure active participation of public representatives and youth in the awareness camps at panchayat level and take all required measures in coordinated manner for the successful execution of the programme. The DC emphasized the Officers to focus on spot redressal of public issues and grievances.
The DC directed Officers to highlight achievements, success stories and best practices through video presentations in sectors like Rural Development (RDD), Health, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Self-Employment and other Government sponsored welfare schemes.
The DC further asked the Officers ensure timely sharing of details about applications disposed under Service Delivery, grievances redressed in Grievance Portal, Best Good Governance Practices, Success Stories during the weeklong campaign.
During the meeting DC stressed on utmost coordination among the line Departments and instructed to set up a Control Room at DC Office for effective monitoring of the activities being conducted during the week long campaign of ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ in District.
