Srinagar, Jan 28: Ad hoc employees of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation have raised serious concerns after remaining unpaid for the past three months, causing financial distress for workers and their families.

Employees said they are struggling to meet basic household expenses despite performing their duties regularly. Repeated representations to concerned offices have reportedly not yielded any assurance regarding the release of pending salaries.

Workers allege that the delay reflects neglect towards ad hoc staff, who play a key role in sanitation, maintenance, and other essential municipal services. They warned that prolonged non-payment could affect morale and the efficiency of city services.

The employees have urged higher authorities of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation to intervene and ensure immediate disbursal of salaries, emphasizing that timely payment is vital for their survival and dignity.
