Anantnag, Sep 16: Continuing its sustained crackdown on the drug menace, Anantnag Police has booked a notorious drug peddler, Khursheed Ahmad Rather S/o Gul Mohd Rather R/o Waghama, Bijbehara, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.

The accused has been identified as a repeated drug offender involved in activities related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic substances. In view of his continued involvement in drug-related activities and to prevent further illicit trafficking, the competent authority ordered his detention under the PIT-NDPS Act.
Following the detention order, Khursheed Ahmad Rather has been lodged in District Jail, Bhaderwah, as per law.
Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to taking stringent action against drug traffickers and repeat offenders and to further strengthening the ongoing campaign for a Drug-Free Anantnag.
