Anantnag, July 28: Congress MLA from Anantnag, Peerzada Mohammad Syed, on Tuesday visited the damaged Achabal, Chittergul road near Kanganhall Bridge to assess the destruction caused by recent heavy rainfall.
During the inspection, the legislator reviewed the condition of the affected stretch, where road damage has disrupted traffic movement and caused inconvenience to commuters.
Expressing concern over the situation, Peerzada directed the concerned departments to begin restoration work without delay and ensure that the damaged section is repaired at the earliest to restore normal connectivity.
He also interacted with local residents and commuters, assuring them that every effort would be made to speed up the repair work and reduce public inconvenience.
The MLA stressed the need for swift execution of restoration works to prevent further deterioration of the road and ensure the safe movement of vehicles in the area.
