Ganderbal, Sept 27: Department of Management Studies (DMS), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), District Centre Ganderbal, conducted a JK Start-up Idea Challenge 2.0 Boot Camp at the Green Campus here.

The programme witnessed participation from students, with 10 aspiring innovators pitching their ideas before the jury, with a participant presenting two ideas. The boot camp provided a platform for students to showcase their innovative concepts, receive expert inputs, and explore entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway.

The programme was attended by Mr. Shabir Ahmad Ganaie, Motivational Speaker, and Mr. Tahir Ahmad Kalwal, successful start-up founder and entrepreneur, who interacted with the participants and shared valuable insights from their professional and entrepreneurial experiences.

Mr. Azmat Hussain, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Ganderbal, delivered the inaugural address and formally opened the idea-pitching session. Mr. Mohammad Rafiq Mir, Faculty, JKEDI Ganderbal, briefed the participants on the J&K Start-up Policy 2024–27, highlighting the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up development among the youth.

The programme was inaugurated and facilitated by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Head, Deptt of Management Studies. Dr. Mir Insha Farooq, Sr Assistant Prof, DMS, coordinated the programme along with other faculty members of the University.
