Jammu, August 15: The Sungal Tunnel on the Jammu-Poonch National Highway (NH-144A) has been partially opened for vehicular movement, providing relief to commuters travelling along the route.

Officials said Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) are currently being permitted to pass through the tunnel between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM every day.

Authorities have indicated that regular traffic movement through the tunnel is expected to resume fully from August 22.

The partial opening is aimed at easing congestion and improving connectivity along the highway while preparations continue for the tunnel’s complete operationalisation.
