KU felicitates JKCCE-2023 qualifiers to motivate new aspirants

To celebrate the hardwork and dedication of the recent qualifiers of the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination (JKCCE)-2023, the University of Kashmir (KU), organised a felicitation ceremony to recognise and acknowledge their achievements.

The event was organised by the varsity’s Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC) here Monday.

Congratulating the qualifiers on the occasion, KU Vice Chancellor, Prof Nilofer Khan, commended their perseverance and commitment and  encouraged them to “mentor and guide current students” at CCPC.

"Your journey will inspire others to pursue their goals with confidence and determination," she said, underscoring KU’s commitment in supporting civil services aspirants through coaching programmes and creating an environment to nurture success.

“We have ensured all necessary resources, facilities and infrastructure to aid aspirants in achieving their dreams," she maintained.

Congratulating the candidates, Dean, Research, Prof M Sultan Bhat, emphasised the importance of resilience in competitive examinations.

"Success demands persistence and one must stay focused until the goal is achieved," he said, attributing setbacks as a “part of the process”.

Terming hardwork the “key to success”, KU Registrar, Prof Naseer Iqbal, said: “KU is providing residential coaching to civil services aspirants to promote academic and professional excellence," he said, hoping the recent qualifiers would serve as “role models for others”.

Addressing the aspirants, KU Media Advisor, Dr Musavir Ahmad, encouraged self-belief and determination, saying: "There is no fixed formula to crack competitive exams. The path may be challenging but perseverance always pays off."

Acknowledging the achievements of the candidates, Director, CCPC, Prof Nazir Ahmad Dar, said: "This felicitation ceremony in itself testifies KU’s commitment to nurturing ambition and providing quality guidance to aspirants at CCPC."

Coordinator, CCPC, Dr Sheeba Hassan, conducted the proceedings, while Deputy Director, CCPC, Dr Yahya Bakhtiyar, proposed the formal vote of thanks.
