Satish Sharma, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, today conveyed best wishes to the senior football team for their forthcoming matches in Santosh Trophy.
Satish Sharma, in his message, expressed hope that the J&K team would exhibit exceptional performance and make it to the final round this year. He stated that football is one of the most popular sports in J&K and all efforts would be made to encourage and promote this game to the greater heights.
“Aimed at to prepare talented players for the national and international competitions, coaching camps, training sessions and competitive matches will be held in every district throughout the year”, he added.
Pertinently, J&K has been placed in Group-A alongside Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Punjab and will play its first match on November 20th against Punjab.
The squad comprises of 22 players and 4 technical staff members, all geared up to represent J&K in this esteemed national tournament.
