
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, ARI and Trainings, Satish Sharma today conducted an extensive visit to various project sites in Khour to inspect the pace of ongoing developmental works.
During the visit the Minister reviewed and inaugurated the 2.00 km road construction project from Datyal to Gujrail in Block Khour.
Interacting with engineers and field staff on-site, he directed them to strictly adhere to quality parameters and ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated timeline to improve rural connectivity.
The Minister also inspected key link road projects including Construction of link road connecting Tibbi Mohalla from Akhnoor–Pallanwala Road, Construction of link road with pacca drain from Sita Ram Temple in Panchayat Mattoo.
At both locations, Minister Sharma assessed the progress made so far, examined the foundation and drainage work, and instructed the executing agencies to remove bottlenecks immediately. He emphasized that these link roads will significantly ease local mobility and must be delivered with high workmanship standards.
The Minister also inaugurated the project for macadamization of the link road from Badhan to Gair and allied links of Panchayat Manchak. He noted the importance of the road for daily commuters and urged the engineering teams to accelerate the execution, ensuring that weather conditions do not slow the pace of work.
Minister also inspected the ongoing works being undertaken by Youth Service and Sports department. He visited Govt High School Datyal Zone Khour where Volleyball court is being constructed
Interacting with locals during his visit, Satish Sharma said that the Government is committed to rapid, transparent, and quality-driven development, especially in rural belts where improved connectivity directly impacts livelihoods. He directed officials to maintain regular field monitoring, ensure proper utilization of funds, and keep local representatives informed about the progress of each project.
The Minister reaffirmed that his departments will continue to prioritize development that strengthens infrastructure and enhances public convenience. He also assured residents that delays will not be tolerated, and any lapse in execution will invite accountability.
